About Primrose Bilingual Preschool

Primrose is a bilingual preschool for children aged 2.5-7 in Warsaw’s Mokotów (Sadyba) district. Thanks to convenient transport connections, children from other parts of Warsaw, e.g. Wilanów, also attend the Preschool. Primrose Preschool implements a program of full early language immersion. Each group has two homeroom teachers – a Polish one and an English native speaker. Both teachers spend a whole day with their group.

“The basis of educational activities at Primrose is respect for each child as a person. The daily program and rules of conduct take into account not only the child’s cognitive needs but also other needs, such as the need for safety, belonging to a peer group, and physical needs, such as rest or free play.“

Educational offer:

  • The foundations of Primrose teaching philosophy is children’s development in three main areas:
    • Personality. All teachers are fully qualified in the field of early childhood education. English-speaking teachers have qualifications to teach English confirmed by a diploma. All teachers are experienced in working with children and can provide them with appropriate care.
    • Communication skills. Learning to speak two languages fluently and correctly, learning to write and read. The ability to understand and interpret information is the basis of every field of knowledge.
    • Physical fitness. For every child at preschool age, the basic activity is physical activity, which is why most of the activities and games at Primrose are physical. Except for days when the weather is extremely unfavorable (heavy rain or snowfall, air temperature below -10°C).
  • Apart from the bilingual curriculum, Primrose offers a variety of classes, activities, and workshops that are included in the tuition fee, e.g.:
    • Kitchen Science (experiments in English)
    • Human Body (interactive classes in English teaching about the human body, a part of health preschool education)
    • Lucy’s Zoo (animals at the Preschool)
    • Little Cook Around the World (cooking in English)
    • Primrose Garden (nature classes including planting and growing plants in the room and garden)
    • Art Smart (arts & crafts workshops in English)
    • Rhythmic class in English (music classes accompanied by instruments)
    • Daily outdoor sports activities
    • Dancing
    • Posture improvement exercices
    • Speech therapy (children participate in games that improve the articulation apparatus and support the proper development of speech, conducted by a qualified speech therapist)
    • Psychologist support
  • You can also enroll your kid in various extracurricular clubs, e.g., ceramics, Funny Judo, French, Zumba Kids, music, and other classes organized at the parents’ request.

“The mission of our preschool is to arouse children’s curiosity about the world, openness, faith in their abilities, self-esteem and to equip the child with the tools to achieve them.”

Languages:

  • Polish and English.
  • An English native speaker is with the children all day long. Each group has two teachers: a Polish-speaking teacher and an English native speaker.
  • The Preschool conducts the same number of classes in Polish and English using the Early Total Immersion method, implementing, in addition to the Polish core curriculum, English teaching programs developed in English-speaking countries for native English speakers.
  • The Preschool introduces preparation for reading and writing in English based on the Jolly Phonics program.
  • Primrose employs qualified teachers from countries where English is the official language.
  • Primrose follows the principle of “one person, one language”, according to which one teacher communicates with children only in one language. This promotes the parallel development of two language areas, preventing children from mixing languages.
  • Multicultural education is an important part of the curriculum.

  • Children aged 2.5 – 7.

Admission process:

  • Admission to the Preschool is ongoing throughout the year (subject to availability).

“We want to shape good eating habits in our children from the very beginning. That’s why we decided to choose healthy and delicious, ecological cuisine.
