About “Baśniowy Dom” International Preschools

“Baśniowy Dom” International Preschools offer bilingual education (Polish and English) in two locations in the Mokotów district of Warsaw. Established in 2002, the Preschool has created a unique multilingual and multicultural community of preschoolers, parents, and teachers where they can exchange experiences and explore other cultures.

The age range of students:

  • Children aged 2,5 – 6.

Languages:

  • A bilingual team of Polish and English native speaker teachers runs each group. The Preschool offers daily classes and the chance to communicate in both languages.
  • Baśniowy Dom’s preschoolers also have Spanish classes twice a week with a Spanish native teacher.

Admission process:

  • The Preschool enrolls children throughout the year, subject to the availability of places.

The Preschool’s offer:

  • Tuition includes:
    • Daily education in Polish and English, Spanish language classes, Physical Education (2x a week), Music Class (2x a week), Art Class (1x a week), and Drama Class (1x a week, 5-6 years)
    • Specialist Care: consultation with a psychologist and speech therapist (Polish)
    • Attractions for children: trips, events, and visits by interesting guests
    • Meals: breakfast, lunch, and afternoon tea
  • Multilingual and multicultural community. The preschoolers, parents, and teachers are from different countries, and they create a unique community where children can exchange experiences and explore other cultures.
  • Ecological Kitchen. Both locations have their kitchens on-site where fresh and delicious meals are prepared daily. In the facility at Miłobędzka Street, the Preschool has introduced a BIO nutritional program – dishes are prepared from certified organic products. The Preschool takes into account the diets of allergy sufferers.
  • Activities. Afternoon activities expanding the preschoolers’ curiosity include experiments, Lego robotics, culinary workshops, judo, swimming classes, ballet, modern dance, yoga, Chinese, painting.
  • Unique events. The Preschool events are essential to the community and are loved by children and parents. Some of these form an integral part of the Preschool tradition, including an English Song Festival, a Christmas Charity Bazaar, a Backwards Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Festival Español, and the Family Picnic.
  • Positive discipline. As certified partners of Positive Discipline, the Preschool team builds the educational model using tools based on relationships, building bonds, and a sense of security. The Preschool supports children in discovering their abilities and competencies, and by learning self-reliance and independence, strengthens their self-esteem and confidence in their actions.

  • The Preschool is open year-round from Monday to Friday from 7.30 am to 6 pm, including the summer.
