The biggest and most interesting ropes parks in Poland: an exciting outdoor experience for children and adults

High ropes centers are not only for seasoned thrill-seekers or those looking to conquer a fear of heights. They are fun and a great shared adventure for a family or friends’ day out.

High ropes courses are a series of challenging obstacles situated in trees that you cross one by one – you move across obstacles, platforms, and bridges constructed in trees. You are attached to a rope and use a belay to keep you safe.

Poland is home to many high ropes courses suitable for families, each offering unique challenges and experiences.

This guide will highlight the top high ropes courses in Poland. We have selected beautiful places in Poland worth visiting for the weekend and longer, and the rope parks in their area will add a lot of fun and adventure to your trips!

Ropes course tips for beginners and what you need to know

  • Rope parks in Poland are often located in forests/parks and it is worth combining a visit there with a bicycle trip.
  • Dress appropriately for climbing – not flip-flops or sandals. Loose, casual clothes are best. If you are waiting for the children to finish the course, take some extra layers to keep you warm.
  • If you have long hair take a hair tie.
  • If your child gets stuck, ask the staff for help. Park employees are ready and prepared for such situations (they will come to help with a ladder;)
  • Check the rules before you go. Parks clearly state the child’s age or height for a given course. Sometimes parents are tempted to try when their children are a few centimeters short of the required height. But it doesn’t make sense. The child will get stuck on the course because he/she will simply not reach and will not be able to clip a belay.
  • When the weather is windy or rainy, it is worth contacting the rope park to check if it is open or closed.
  • Most parents wait for their child to complete the course. However, most of the courses are also available for adults, so it’s worth a try!
  • During the spring and summer seasons in Poland, rope parks are a popular place to organize birthday parties, picnics, meetings with friends, school trips, and other events.
  • Rope parks in Poland are usually open from mid-April to October/November, depending on the park.
  • Polish name: park linowy.
