About Baby City

Baby City is a bilingual (English and Polish) nursery and preschool accepting children aged 1,5 – 7. Baby City is located in Mokotów/Wilanów, in three buildings totaling 1.500 m². The preschool educational approach focuses on bilingualism, new methods of creative education, healthy habits (eating well and sports; they have their own eco kitchen), individualized educational programs for talented children and those with special educational needs, Nonviolent Communication (NVC), and democratic education.

Curriculum and educational offer

  • Taking into account the challenges of the 21st century, Baby City believes that knowledge alone is no longer the primary goal of education. Instead, the preschool focuses on developing the skills of learning how to learn: critical thinking, analysis and synthesis of information, creativity, and non-conventional problem-solving. Our educational approach is rooted in creative problem-solving and inquiry-based learning. A holistic view of the learning process allows teachers to integrate different thematic areas and introduce science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics (STEAM) as one coherent, meaningful experience, using modern methods, tools and project-based activities.
  • STEAM education at Baby City is not taught as separate subjects, but as a way of thinking and exploring the world. Children experiment, observe, ask questions, build, test hypotheses and draw conclusions through hands-on activities, projects and guided exploration. This approach strengthens curiosity, independence and confidence, while preparing children for future academic and life challenges.
  • Baby City promotes healthy eating habits and daily physical activity as essential elements of children’s development. Sports classes are held every day and include swimming, acrobatics, football, gymnastics, capoeira and karate. The preschool is equipped with a large, child-friendly gym designed to support safe movement, coordination and physical confidence.
  • The Baby City team works in accordance with Nonviolent Communication (NVC) and the principles of democratic education. The needs of children and parents are treated with equal respect. This philosophy has allowed us to build effective communication and cooperation based on trust, without penalties or reward systems. Positive behaviors are reinforced through appreciation, verbal recognition and physical closeness, such as a hug. Children are given the right to choose which activities they engage in and when, ensuring they are not overstimulated. Each child receives adequate time, space and individual attention for reflection and one-on-one interaction.
  • Independence is actively supported during mealtimes. Children decide what and how much they eat, in line with the Baby Led Weaning philosophy, which has been successfully implemented in the youngest groups. Older children compose their own meals, and breakfasts are served buffet-style, offering healthy, natural products adapted to children’s preferences and needs.
  • Baby City offers a wide range of activities designed to develop individual talents and interests. These include Matplanet mathematical workshops, Funiversity, robotics and programming, pottery, fine arts, drama and music classes, as well as hip-hop and capoeira. For physically active children, the offer includes yoga, swimming, football, acrobatics and karate. Gifted or highly motivated children can follow individual, personalized annual programs tailored to their developmental needs.

“We provide children with the best knowledge, skills, and foundation that guarantees a good start for the future in the XXI century. Through the years, we achieved the opinion of a place full of life that cares for kids’ needs and consequently raises them in an atmosphere of respect and warmth. If we were to be measured by the happiness and smile of a child – we are the best.“
