About Summer Club with The English Playhouse

The English Playhouse offers Summer Club to kids from all over Warsaw in their green locations in Wilanów/Zawady and Mokotów. This year, the theme of the Summer Club is WATER WONDERS. The Club is dedicated to children from 1 to 7 years old.

Summer Club with The English Playhouse:

  • July 1 – August 14, 2024.
  • Language: English.
  • Locations: Wilanów/Zawady – Syta 78 Street and Mokotów – Obserwatorów 8 Street, Cisowa 13 Street, Płyćwiańska 14A Street.
  • Price: Programme A (7:45 am – 12:45 pm) 140 PLN per day; Programme B (7:45 am – 3.45 pm) 180 PLN per day; Programme C (7:45 am – 5:00 pm) 200 PLN per day; Programme C – full month/July only (7:45 am – 6:00 pm) 3500 PLN per month.
  • Meals: morning snack 5 PLN, lunch (soup, main course, drink, and fruit) 15 PLN, afternoon snack 3,5 PLN, supper 5 PLN. Special diet fees are set individually.
  • There are lots of arts and crafts projects, cooking, gardening, exercising, dancing, singing activities, and games planned.

  • Children younger than 3 years old: the theme of the 2024 Summer Club is “Rumble in the Jungle” which will be a great opportunity to learn more about different animals and their habitats during days full of fun, art, and sensory activities.
  • Children aged 3-7: The theme of the 2024 Summer Club is WATER WONDERS. Each week, children will be immersed in a different water-themed adventure, sparking curiosity and learning through fun activities and exploration. From the science of oceans to the magic of underwater creatures, every day promises a new discovery.
    • Week 1 – Water in Nature. Topic: Exploring rivers, lakes, ponds, and oceans. Learning objectives: Understanding the importance of freshwater ecosystems, and the differences between them. Activities: Go on nature walks to observe local bodies of water and wildlife; Collect pond water samples and observe microorganisms under a microscope; Learn about the water cycle through a storytelling activity; Role-play as marine biologists exploring the ocean floor.
    • Week 2 – Water Science. Topic: Exploring the properties of water. Learning objectives: Understanding concepts like buoyancy, surface tension, and the water cycle. Activities: Conduct water experiments like sinking and floating objects; Build boats from recycled materials and test their buoyancy; Explore evaporation by making rain in a jar; Learn about water pollution and how to keep water clean through a pollution sorting game.
    • Week 3 – Under the Sea Adventure – water creatures. Topic: Delving into the world of underwater creatures. Learning objectives: Identifying different water creatures and understanding their habitats and characteristics. Activities: Create an underwater mural with fish, sharks, and other sea creatures; Create costumes of a sea creatures and act out underwater scenes; Visit a local aquarium – possible trip to the Warsaw ZOO; Learn about conservation efforts to protect marine life; Craft sea creature puppets and put on a puppet show.
    • Week 4 – Water Sports. Topic: Engaging in exciting water-based sports and activities. Learning objectives: Introducing children to various water sports, promoting physical fitness and enhancing coordination and teamwork skills. Activities: Participate in a relay races with water-themed obstacles; Learn about famous water sport athletes.
    • Week 5 – Water Transport Adventure. Topic: Exploring different methods of water transportation. Learning objectives: Understanding the history and mechanics of watercraft, learning about navigation an safety, and appreciating the importance of water transport in global trade and travel. Activities: Construct miniature boats from recycled materials and test their seaworthiness in a kiddie pool; Learn about famous explorers and their voyages across the seas; Create the poster depicting various modes of water transport throughout history; Build miniature boats and race them in a makeshift river.
    • Week 6 – Pirates, Mermaids and Fantasy Friends. Topic: Embarking on imaginative adventures with pirate and mermaid lore. Learning objectives: Fostering creativity and storytelling skills, exploring themes of friendship and cooperation, and sparking interests in maritime folklore and mythology. Activities: Dress up as pirates, mermaids or other fantasy characters; Create treasure maps and go on a treasure hunt; Design and decorate cardboard pirate ships.
