About the Botanical Garden in Powsin

The Botanical Garden in Powsin (south of Warsaw, between Wilanów and Konstancin) is a huge park with nice walking paths: roughly half of it is taken, according to the map, by “useful and ornamental plants”, the second part (arboretum) is “a collection of woody plants”, where the azaleas are the most popular among visitors (they bloom in the spring). There are many opportunities to have amazing photo sessions, eg. cherry blossom, including Japanese sakura, the national collection of varieties of roses or Japanese and many others.

Great destination, especially during weekends – for a longer trip – to recharge your batteries by experiencing nature. You will find there a vegetable garden and orchard – lots of fun for city people to see “live” pumpkin, beetroot, dill or an apple on a tree. Kids will enjoy the “Collection of Polish flora” which includes mountain plants and mini-mountains / hills. There are short trails (marked as in the real Polish mountains) and peaks with an interesting view for children. Climbing is not difficult, and the little hikers have great satisfaction.

  • Cafe Botanica opening hours: 10 am – 7 pm
  • Regular tickets: 17 PLN
  • Reduced tickets: 13 PLN (eg. students, seniors 65+, disabled people)
  • Children up to 5 years old – free entrance
  • Family tickets 2 adults + children: 45 PLN
  • Parking lot fee: 10 PLN
  • You can pay with a card
  • There are 2 entrances to the Park: the main entrance from Prawdziwka 2 Street (with a parking lot) and the entrance from the Culture Park in Powsin/Park Kultury w Powsinie (re-opened on April 1 2021 after renovation)

You must show this ticket to the ticket office and pay 7 zlotys. You will get a receipt which you need to show to the guard before you leave by car after your visit to the Garden

Where to have lunch or coffee?

  • There is a café (Cafe Botanica) in a building near the ticket office and Prawdziwka Street entrance offering desserts, soup, and delicious ice cream:)
  • In the summer you can buy some barbecue (grill) food in the middle of the Garden (outdoor venue)
