Museum for Children (Muzeum dla Dzieci) is a part of the Ethnographic Museum in Warsaw. It offers workshops for children, birthday parties in Polish or English, and a new interactive exhibition for children every few months.

Current exhibition, open until November 15, 2025:

“Polish Flowers” – Kwiaty polskie – an exhibition dedicated to families.
The multi-sensory tour includes seven rooms full of flowers. In each room, visitors have a puzzle to solve and acquire knowledge in fields such as ethnography, cultural anthropology, botany, and natural science.
Have you ever tried on a wedding dress? You will be able to do this at the Exhibition! You will also be able to swing on linen and hemp ropes and see how dyeing with flowers works in practice for artists. You will listen to traditional songs about flowers and create a flower map of Poland. You will delve into one of the most popular traditional topics in ethnography – ethnobotany and folk medicine. You will be able to study the structure of the flower in detail and find out what flowers bloom at night.
The exhibition creates an opportunity to look at past and contemporary Polish practices in which people use flowers and consider how and why they do it.
The exhibition is available in Polish, English, and Ukrainian.

Tickets:

To visit the exhibition, you need to buy entry tickets to the Ethnographic Museum, which houses the Museum for Children.
Regular ticket: 19 PLN.
Reduced ticket: 10 PLN (students and seniors).
Children up to 7 years old have free entrance.
Free entrance: every Thursday.
You can pay by credit card.
The ticket entitles you to visit both the Ethnographic Museum and the Museum for Children (a part of the Ethnographic Museum).

How to get there?

The Museum for Children is located in the city center (Kredytowa Street). The same building and entrance as to the Ethnographic Museum (Muzeum Etnograficzne).
Location on Google map.
By car: The museum is within a paid parking zone. Visitors can park on eg. Kredytowa, Traugutta, Królewska, Mazowiecka Street. However, it may take some time to find a free spot.
By metro (M1 or M2): Świętokrzyska stop (requires about an 8-minute walk, 600 m), a similar distance from Nowy Świat-Uniwersytet stop (metro M2).

The Museum is closed on:

Public holidays.
Mondays.

Birthday parties dedicated to children aged 5-10

Birthday parties can be held in English: 1200 PLN (in Polish 950 PLN)
Max 20 children
Duration: 2-3 hours
Available slots:
- Saturday and Sunday, 12 pm – 6 pm
- You can suggest other preferable times, including weekdays

Other information:

Museum for Children is located on the ground floor of the Ethnographic Museum. There are 7 spacious rooms dedicated to kids (they can play with special installations, and participate in arts & crafts workshops).
Be ready to spend there about 2 hours.
The cloakroom is located on level -1 (you can get there by elevator).
It is also worth visiting the Ethnographic Museum exhibitions (eg. folk costumes from Poland and Europe, ritual accessories, fabrics, decorative ceramics, woodcarving, historic instruments, toys, paper cut-outs, and much more).
