20+ ice skating rinks in different districts of Warsaw

When the temperature drops in Poland, that means it’s time to go ice skating. If you’re itching to strap on the blades or learn skating, Warsaw has many rinks to explore. And it’s not just during Christmas that you can get your skates on, as there are plenty of rink options starting in late November.

The first ice rink in Warsaw (Torwar in the city center) opened for this season already in September! The ice rinks in Warsaw are usually open until February/March, weather permitting. Did you know that in Ursynów there is an indoor ice rink (Figlowisko) open 24/7?

Skate rentals operate at most ice rinks in Warsaw, so you don’t need your equipment (there are also usually available skate supports for skaters needing extra help).

By ‘indoor’ we mean that the rink is covered by a roof or is inside a building.

It is always worth checking the website/Facebook of the ice rink before going out for updates.

An outdoor ice rink in the Old Town (open from December 6, 2023)

Location: Old Town Square, Rynek Starego Miasta (city center). Free entrance. Ice skates and support penguins can be rented on-site. Opening hours: 10 am – 12 pm, 1 pm – 3 pm, 4 pm – 6 pm, 7 pm – 9 pm. Website.

Location: Kajakowa 12b Street (Ursynów), FREE entrance. Opening hours: 10 am – 9 pm. Technical breaks: 12.30 pm – 1 pm, 3.30 pm – 4 pm, 6.30 pm – 7 pm. An outdoor ice rink at Arkadia shopping center (open from December 1, 2023 until February 29, 2024)

Location: an area next to Arkadia shopping center, Jana Pawła II 82 Street. Opening hours: 10 am – 10 pm (Sundays 10 am – 9 pm). Ice skates and support penguins can be rented on-site. Tickets: 20 PLN per hour adults, 15 PLN children. More in Polish.

An outdoor ice rink in Praga, at Plac Konesera (open from December 2, 2023 until February 28, 2024)

Location: Plac Konesera, Centrum Praskie Koneser (Praga). Opening hours: 10.15 am – 10 pm (75-minute sessions and 15-minute breaks, additional long 90-minute breaks 2.30 pm – 4 pm and a 30-minute break 6.45 pm – 7.15 pm). December 24: open until 2.30 pm, December 25 – closed, December 26: open from 10.15 am, December 31 – open until 2.30 pm, January 1: open from 4 pm, January 6: open from 10.15 am. Torwar indoor ice rink (open from November 23, 2023)

Location: Torwar, Łazienkowska 6A Street (city center). Opening hours: Tuesday 8 pm – 9.30 pm, Thursday 8 pm – 9.30 pm, Saturday 6.30 pm – 8 pm, Sunday 11 am – 12.30 pm (including a separate area for kids) and 6.30 pm – 8 pm. During each slot, there is a rental and a sharpening room available.
