‘The Nutcracker and the Four Realms’ movie in English (no Polish subtitles)

“Let’s bee friends” – an exhibition for children about bees

“The Royal Garden of Lights” – illuminations festival in the Wilanów Garden
Location: Wilanów Garden, Stanisława Kostki Potockiego 10/16 Street, 4 pm – 9 pm. It can be crowded during weekends, buy tickets online to skip the line. Mappings (illumination, picture, and sound) on the Palace façade Friday, Saturday, and Sunday: 6.30 pm, 7.30 pm, and 8.30 pm. November 11 is a bank holiday in Poland – Independence Day (Święto Niepodległości)
The anniversary of Poland’s independence in 1918. Since this year Poland celebrates 100 years of independence, there will be many exhibitions, concerts, events in Warsaw and all over Poland. Please note that in Warsaw, there will be organized the ‘March of Independence’ (Marsz Niepodległości) which last year turned violet (it starts at 2 pm in the center of Warsaw, next to Metro Centrum, at Rondo Dmowskiego and goes to the National Stadium). The march has been banned last minute, the organizers are appealing to the court, it’s possible the march will happen anyway. It’s recommended to skip the area. The opening of the new exhibition “In King Matt’s Poland. The 100th Anniversary of Regaining Independence” at POLIN – Museum of the History of Polish Jews
Location: Anielewicza 6 Street (Muranów). 10 am – 8 pm, free entrance. The exhibition is dedicated to children and adults. Attractions of the opening event include workshops, curator-guided tours, activities with educators and a theater for children 7+ (tickets 5 PLN). ‘Independence Festival’
Location: Krakowskie Przedmieście street in the city center, free entrance, 1 pm – 10 pm. Attractions include concerts, film screenings, Polish food, dance shows, parade of vintage cars. Kids Zone next to the Academy of Fine Arts, Krakowskie Przedmieście 5 Street (kids music group, theaters for children, karaoke, arts and crafts workshop, radio broadcast workshop, contests and games). The event celebrating Independence Day at the Polish Army Museum

Monday, November 12
A one-time bank holiday in Poland in 2018
The Polish Parliament has decided that Monday, November 12, 2018, will be a one-time national holiday and non-working day (prolonged celebration of the 100th anniversary of regaining independence by Poland). Stores, malls, shopping centers are CLOSED, only some smaller local convenience stores can be open (eg. Żabka). You can always do basic shopping at gas stations (which are open 24/7).
