About Thames Language Academy in Warsaw

Thames Language Academy, in association with Thames British School, invites children aged 6-16 to the English courses. The courses take place on Saturdays in three Warsaw locations: Mokotów, Włochy, and Ochota. The classes are designed to help students achieve English proficiency.

Enrollment for January 2026 is open! 

  • Course dates:
    • 6 months: January 10, 2026 – June 20, 2026; Mokotów.

About English courses at Thames Language Academy

  • You can select a 4-month course (September 2025 – December 2025, price: 3200 PLN), a 10-month course (September 2025 – June 2026, price: 6900 PLN), or a 6-month course (January – June 2026, price: 4900 PLN).
  • The classes are provided once a week on Saturdays: four lessons every Saturday, 10 am – 1 pm.

Locations

Thames Language Academy organises the courses in three campuses of Thames British School Warsaw:

  • Mokotów Campus, ul. Józefa i Jana Rostafińskich 1. Location on Google Maps.
  • Włochy Campus, ul. Gładka 31. Location on Google Maps.
  • Ochota Campus, ul. Wawelska 66/74. Location on Google Maps.

Course program and approach

  • Native level speakers of English. The teachers are qualified, experienced, and native level speakers of English. They have extensive experience in teaching English as a second language.
  • Optimal group size. Lessons in small groups of up to 12 students ensure personalised attention and a supportive learning environment.
  • Age and skill-based groups. Courses are designed for children aged 6 to 16, with groups thoughtfully divided according to age for a stimulating learning environment. Thames Language Academy welcomes children of all levels, with groups carefully divided to match each student’s abilities for a tailored learning experience.
  • Holistic language development. The lessons are organised by four language skills: speaking, listening, writing, and reading, all of which students must master to attain academic proficiency in a language.
  • Emphasis on speaking skills. The courses combine a focus on natural English pronunciation with intensive speaking and listening practice.

Structured English Learning

  • Checkpoint tests. Thames Language Academy conducts monthly Checkpoint tests to assess our students’ progress. These tests give detailed feedback to help learners understand their strengths and weaknesses in the subjects.
  • Accredited examinations. Students who complete the English Level of education will take the relevant Level of English Examination. Upon passing, they receive a Level confirmation certificate, which serves as recognition of their language proficiency.
  • Certificates. Thames Language Academy provides certificates of attendance to all students, which include the exact number of hours taken for the course and an evaluation of their progress. These certificates can be valuable when applying for further education or future job opportunities.
