About Polish British Academy of Warsaw

Polish British Academy of Warsaw (PBA) is a bilingual (English and Polish) primary school in Warsaw-Wilanów, offering education to children aged 6-15. Polish British Academy follows the British National Curriculum and the Polish National Curriculum. The School is a member of the global association for international British schools (COBIS – Council of British International Schools) and received the title of British international school.

Recruitment for grades 0 and 1 for the 2025/2026 school year is open.

“Polish British Academy of Warsaw’s main goal is to provide our children with the best education offered by both the British and Polish education standards. We want to give the children a good basis for their future school career regardless of whether they will study in Poland or abroad. We teach both in English and Polish, so they can be confident in international society and at the same time feel like “at home” while in Poland.“

Curriculum and educational offer:

  • Polish British Academy of Warsaw implements two curricula: Polish National Curriculum according to the core curriculum provided by Polish Ministry of National Education (MEN) and British National Curriculum according to the core curriculum provided by the British Department of Education (DfE). Therefore the School is controlled by these two institutions (MEN and DfE)

  • Polish British Academy of Warsaw aims at educating all their students in such a way that they don’t have any problems with being admitted to any high school in Poland or in the United Kingdom
  • The School assures educational continuity for students coming from abroad and always supports them in the on-boarding process
  • Additional activities and classes at PBA in English and Polish include: football, basketball, volleyball, fencing, programming, drawing, dancing, karate, artistic gymnastics, piano, musical

“We consider tolerance, respect for other cultures and their traditions, and appreciation for the diversity of the world around us as important elements of good and modern upbringing. We also believe that successful social and emotional development of each child is only possible due to a strong and unique relationship between pupils and their teachers.”

Admission process:

  • Parents are asked to fill in the application form
  • Year 1 candidates will be invited to the School for the interview during which the School evaluates their emotional and cognitive readiness for school as well as their level of English
  • Candidates for upper Years (Year 2-8) will be invited to the School to meet and see if student mastered curriculum requirements appropriate for the class
  • Students who are currently abroad may participate in the online recruitment process, after receiving appropriate tests from PBA

  • At the moment, there are 314 students in the school

Tuition:

  • Registration fee: 2500 PLN – for new students at Polish British Academy; 2000 PLN – for graduates of Kids’ Academy Preschool
  • Annual fee for students of years 0, 1, 2, 3: 39 288 PLN
  • Annual fee for students of years 4, 5, 6, 7, 8: 47 148 PLN
  • Annual fee includes:
    • Two meals a day: breakfast and snack (lunch can be ordered directly from the catering company)
    • Childcare from 8 am to 6 pm
    • Realization of the Polish and British curricula
    • Workshops
    • Psychologist’s support
    • Transport for compulsory class activities organized by the School, eg. ice skating
    • Childcare during “Winter at School” and “Holidays at School” programs (excluding charges for food)
