About Maple Tree Montessori International Preschool

Maple Tree Montessori International Preschool is located in the Wilanów district of Warsaw. They provide an authentic Montessori curriculum that embraces the diversity of all their students and nurtures children’s individual needs. Their learning environment encourages children to be selfdirected and eager learners. Maple Tree Montessori International Preschool offers both a Casa Class (3 – 6 years of age) and a Toddler Group (1,5 – 3 years old).

“Joy, feeling one’s own value, being appreciated and loved by others, feeling useful and capable of production are all factors of enormous value for the human soul.” Maria Montessori

Curriculum:

  • The Montessori approach is the fundamental base for Maple Tree Montessori’s teaching philosophy. It allows them to facilitate the development of children’s independence and their natural psychological progress, giving them freedom within a certain structure
  • Maple Tree Montessori encourages kids to be creative in their learning by providing them with the freedom to work in their own way and supporting them in the development of their interests
  • The preschool teaches children to take care of nature through everyday eco-friendly practices, a natural playground, and a fruit & vegetable garden that the kids help cultivate
  • At Maple Tree Montessori, music isn’t just an extra class but is part of the children’s daily life. The unique practice of combining the Montessori environment with musical activities is just another way that Maple Tree Montessori is distinguished from other preschools in Warsaw

“Children develop best when they feel safe & secure and we do our best to give them the care & nurturing they need. Our curriculum follows their interests, which makes the children’s experience here fun and exciting, as they work through a program that is motivating and meaningful to them.“

The age range of students:

  • Toddler Group (children aged 1,5 – 3), Toddlers don’t have to be potty-trained
  • Casa Class (children aged 3 – 6), children are able to complete their “zerówka” year at Maple Tree Montessori

Languages:

  • Maple Tree Montessori is run in English, with the teachers in the classroom possessing a high level of English. Children who don’t speak English are supported & guided in their natural language acquisition.

Admission process:

  • Maple Tree Montessori has rolling admissions and applications are accepted throughout the year (subject to space availability). However, we strongly encourage families to get in touch as soon as possible due to long waitlists.

“As an international preschool, we are able to expose our children to a wealth of different backgrounds, lifestyles and cultures. At Maple Tree Montessori, we want our children to explore and to teach them that there is more than one solution to anything. We can show them a variety of lifestyles, making sure that we respect them all. Some of the ways that we accomplish this are by: learning about family beliefs, sharing personal and cultural traditions, or giving back to the local residents through community service.”

“As we provide our children with a home away from home, we give them a space where they feel safe enough to attach to their teachers and cultivate a love for learning. Our teachers are here to inspire the children, and to set up the classroom environment in a way that is interesting and encourages exploration.”
