About the Botanical Garden in Powsin

The Botanical Garden in Powsin (south of Warsaw, between Wilanów and Konstancin) is a huge park with lovely walking paths. There are many opportunities to have excellent photo sessions, e.g., cherry blossoms, Japanese sakura, the national collection of varieties of roses, azaleas, and many others.

It is a great destination to recharge your batteries by experiencing nature. It is a lovely place for a picnic (you can spread a blanket on the grass) and a walk. There are wide alleys, and you can finish the walk with ice cream in the garden cafe.

There is also a vegetable garden and orchard – lots of fun for city people to see “live” pumpkin, beetroot, dill, or an apple on a tree. Kids will enjoy mini-mountains / hills. There are short trails (marked as in the real Polish mountains) and peaks with an interesting view for children. Climbing is not difficult, and the little hikers have great satisfaction.

  • You can check current opening hours on the Garden’s website
  • Regular tickets: 20 PLN
  • Reduced tickets: 16 PLN
  • Children up to 13 years old 1 PLN
  • Family tickets 2 adults + children: 65 PLN
  • Parking lot fee: 12 PLN
  • You can pay with a card

  • By car: The Garden is close to Bielawa, on the way to Konstancin
  • Next to the entrance, there is a parking lot dedicated to visitors. Before entering the parking lot, you will get a parking ticket from the guard. You must show this ticket to the ticket office and pay a fee. You will get a receipt which you need to show to the guard before you leave by car after your visit
  • There are two entrances to the Park: the main entrance from Prawdziwka 2 Street (with a parking lot) and the entrance from the Culture Park in Powsin/Park Kultury w Powsinie (not available for cars, open from March/April)

Where to have lunch or coffee?

  • There is a café (Cafe Botanica) in a building near the ticket office and Prawdziwka Street entrance offering desserts, soup, and ice cream
  • In the summer you can buy some barbecue food in the middle of the Garden (outdoor venue)

Other information:

  • The Botanical Garden could be confused with another spot called Powsin (Park Kultury w Powsinie www.parkpowsin.pl), which is an outdoor activity area in/near Las Kabacki with a playground, tennis courts, etc.
  • Animals are not allowed
