Friday, January 26

Carnival ball for children
Location: Library at Chłodna 11 Street (city center / Wola), free entrance, 5 pm. Children can wear carnival costumes. Facebook event in Polish.

Harry Potter event
Location: Księgarnia Autorska Bookstore, Złote Tarasy shopping center, Złota 59 Street, free entrance. More in Polish on the Bookstore Fanpage.

Winter holidays at the Botanical Garden – family workshop
Location: Powsin Botanical Garden, Prawdziwka 2 Street, “Centrum Edukacji Przyrodniczo-Ekologicznej” building at Prawdziwka Street entrance. 10 am – 1 pm, free entrance. Facebook event in Polish. Click here to learn why kids love going to the Powsin Botanical Garden.

FridaySunday, January 26-28

LEGO event
Location: Galeria Północna shopping center, ground floor, Światowida 17 Street (Białołęka), free entrance, 11 am – 7 pm. 50,000 bricks to build the map of Poland, famous monuments and buildings, exhibition, Lego DUPLO zone, contests and arts & crafts workshops. Facebook event in Polish.

Puppet theater for children 4+ “Krawiec Niteczka”
Location: LALKA Puppet and Actor Theater, the Palace of Culture and Science, entrance from Świętokrzyska Street, left section of the building. Friday at 11 am, Saturday at 5.30 pm, and Sunday at 12 pm (65 min). Online tickets (38 PLN). Click here to read more in Polish and here to read our tips in English about the Lalka theater.

“The Royal Garden of Lights”
Location: Wilanów Palace Garden, Stanisława Kostki Potockiego 10/16 Street, 4 pm – 9 pm. MondayFriday, regular tickets 10 PLN, reduced tickets 5 PLN. SaturdaySunday, regular tickets 20 PLN, reduced tickets 10 PLN. Free admission for children under 7 (every day). It can be crowded during weekends, buy tickets online to skip the line (you can show your ticket on a smartphone). Mappings (illumination, picture, and sound) on the Palace facade on Saturdays and Sundays (15 minutes) at 5.30 pm, 6.30 pm, 7.30 pm, and 8.30 pm. The illuminations and mapping shows will be on until February 25.

Multimedia Fountain Park
Location: Skwer Dywizji 1, Podzamcze (city center), free entrance. Winter season: fifteen-minute light and music shows on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 7, 8, and 9 pm. LEGO Exhibition
Location: PGE National Stadium, Al. Ks. J. Poniatowskiego 1 Street (Praga). MondayFriday 10 am – 9 pm, SaturdaySunday 10 am – 8 pm. Click here to buy tickets online. Facebook event in Polish. Website in Polish. The Exhibition runs until March 25.

Saturday, January 27

Free winter holidays workshops for children
Location: Mokotów Cultural Center (Dom Kultury Kadr), Gintrowskiego 32 Street. Circus workshops for kids 7-9 (11 am – 12 pm), and kids 10-13 (12.15 pm – 1.15 pm). Percussion body workshops for kids 7-9 (11 am – 12 pm), and kids 10-13 (12.15 pm – 1.15 pm). Free Qigong class
Location: Łazienki Royal Garden –  the Amphitheater building (click here to see the exact location on a map), free entrance, 11.45 am – 1 pm. Facebook event in Polish.

Guided tour in English in The Museum of Modern Art
Location:
“Museum on the Vistula” Pavilion, Wybrzeże Kościuszkowskie 22 Street (on the Vistula bank). 2 pm, admission to the tour included in the price of an exhibition ticket (1 PLN). Facebook event in English. The Museum website in English.

DIY free workshop for children
Location: Nowy Tear, Madalińskiego 10/16 Street (Mokotów). 2 pm – 4 pm. No need to book a place, you can join at any time. Facebook event in Polish.

SaturdaySunday, January 27-28

“Śpij / Sleep” theater for children up to 3-years-old
Location: Teatr Ochoty, Mikołaja Reja 9 (Ochota). Saturday, 3 pm (online tickets), and 4.30 pm (online tickets). Sunday 4.30 pm (online tickets). Tickets for adults 30 PLN, tickets for children 24 PLN. Performances by BAJ Theater – the oldest puppet & actor theater in Poland (established in 1928). Theater for children 5+ “Calineczka” (Thumbelina by H.Ch. Andersen)
Location: Guliwer Theater, Różana 16 Street (Mokotów). Saturday at 5.30 pm, Sunday at 11 am and 1 pm. Click here to read more in Polish. Online tickets (28 PLN), trailer.

Theater for little children – Teatr Niewielki
Location: SOHO Factory, Mińska 25 Street, building no. 74 (Praga). “Raz, dwa, trzy” – performance with music for children 2-5 (Saturday at 10.30 am, 12 pm, and 4.30 pm). “Hu hu ha” – dance performance for children 2-7 (Sunday at 10.30 am,12 pm, 3.30 pm, and 5 pm).
