Donating used goods to charity in Warsaw: drop off locations & pickup options

Please note that due to the coronavirus pandemic some drop off and pickup options may be limited.

Smile Warsaw

Smile Warsaw is a group of volunteers from many different countries who support homeless people in Warsaw.  

  • What can I donate?

All kinds of clothes for adults, tents, sleeping bags, cosmetics, food.

  • Where can I drop off my donation?

Smile Warsaw is held every Sunday at 3.45 pm, next to the Palace of Culture and Science – Kinoteka side (volunteers serve a hot meal to homeless people) – you can leave your donation with them.

Warsaw Volunteer Mission

The Foundation passes the donated items on to families in need.

  • What can I donate?

All kinds of goods in good condition (for children and adults).

  • Where can I drop off my donation?

Puławska 326 Street (international community center). As soon as you enter the building on your right next to the stairs there is a door with the WVM logo on it. The donations go inside there. Please contact the Foundation before your visit.

The second drop off option is the WVM storage facility in Piaseczno, Dworcowa 21 Street, Monday – Friday, 10 am – 6 pm and Saturday 10 am – 2 pm. With the storage, you need to email the Foundation in advance to make sure someone will be there to assist.

  • Can I schedule a pickup for my donation?

Pickups of bigger donations can be arranged. If you are interested, please send an email.

ENTRAIDE Foundation

The Foundation supports people in need all over Poland.

  • What can I donate?

Clothes and shoes for adults and kids, kids books, toys, kitchenware, small decorations, lamps, childcare items, towels.

  • Where can I drop off my donation? Can I schedule a pickup for my donation?

Please contact the Foundation (email or Facebook messenger) to arrange a pickup or drop off. Usually, drop off can be done in some the Foundation members houses (Mokotów, Sadyba). Twice a year, the Foundation collects goods in some of Warsaw schools.

The Sue Ryder Foundation 

The Foundation sells donated goods in 4 Charity Stores in Warsaw. Funds raised from sales are allocated, among others, to support Sue Ryder Houses (care centers, hospices, treatment centers and hospital wards).

  • What can I donate?

Clothes for adults and kids, books, CDs, DVDs, small appliances, glassware, dinnerware.

  • Where can I drop off my donation?

In one of Charity Stores in Warsaw, Monday – Friday, 10 am – 6 pm:

Pickups of bigger donations can be arranged by one of the Foundations volunteers. If you are interested, please call the Foundation.

Szafa Przyjaciół (Friends Wardrobe)

“Szafa Przyjaciół” supports the homeless and poor people who can come each Thursday to try on and select clothes.

  • What can I donate?

Clothes, shoes – only for adults (the greatest demand for men’s clothing), sleeping bags, blankets.

  • Where can I drop off my donation?

Tamka 4a Street (Powiśle), underground of St. Therese Church, entrance from Elektryczna Street. Each Monday, 6 pm – 8 pm.

  • Can I schedule a pickup for my donation?

No.

Chleb Życia (Bread of Life)

The community runs 9 homes for old, sick and homeless people, as well as mothers with children.

  • What can I donate?

Clothes, shoes, small household appliances (the greatest demand for adults clothing but children clothes as well).

  • Where can I drop off my donation?

Łopuszańska 17 Street (Włochy, close to the Okęcie Chopin Airport), Monday – Friday, 8 am – 4 pm.

  • Can I schedule a pickup for my donation?

No.

Polski Czerwony Krzyż “PCK” (the Polish Red Cross)

Goods collected in PCK donations bins are sold to recycling companies. The funds are allocated to aid and educational projects.

  • What can I donate?

Clothes, shoes, bedding, stuffed toys.

  • Where can I drop off my donation?
    • The Polish Red Cross headquarters at Mokotowska 14 Street (city center), 24/7. Call the intercom, and a guard will put your stuff into a PCK donation bin.
    • Warsaw branch headquarters at Szańcowa 25 Street (Wola), 24/7. A PCK donation bin in front of the building (no intercom).
    • There are 2806 PCK donation bins in Mazowieckie/Masovian Voivodeship. Please note that in Warsaw, there are also other bins collecting clothes for profit purposes (click here to see how the PCK bins are marked). Click here to read the list of PCK bin by districts and streets.
  • Can I schedule a pickup for my donation?

No.

Centrum Pomocy Bliźniemu MONAR-MARKOT (Human Aid Center)

The Center runs shelters for the homeless.

  • What can I donate?

Adults clothes, shoes, blankets (the greatest demand for warm clothing during wintertime).

  • Where can I drop off my donation?

Marywilska 44A Street (Białołęka), Monday – Friday, 8 am – 6 pm, Saturday 8 am – 4 pm. At the entrance gate, there is a guard who will collect your donation.

  • Can I schedule a pickup for my donation?

No.

Fundacja “Dobrze, że jesteś” (“It is good that you exist” Foundation)

The Foundation supports the oncological patients.

  • What can I donate?

Used books (however, in a good condition), in Polish and other languages, for children and adults.

  • Can I schedule a pickup for my donation?

Yes, all you need to do is to call The Foundation and set a pickup time.
