High in a treehouse: a peaceful getaway in Poland for outdoors-loving travelers

Tempted by an escape to the woods? Staying in a treehouse can put you close to nature and provide breathtaking settings to take a break. Spending a night in the treetops can also be fun for kids – a fairytale holiday adventure. Wake to birdsong, have morning coffee on the deck, explore the surrounding area, and fall asleep to the gentle creak of branches.

Treehouses “Dolina Charlotty” – close to the Baltic Sea

The “Dolina Charlotty” treehouses are part of a hotel complex in northern Poland, 13 km from the sea. Dolina Charlotty—in English, “Charlotte Valley”—covers 120 hectares, including a lake and a forest. Our readers named the hotel one of the best family-friendly hotels in Poland (learn more about child-friendly hotels in Poland in our post). What makes this place unique? The hotel has a zoo, including kangaroos, lemurs, camels, and monkeys! Nine treehouses are located 800 meters from the main hotel building.

Treehouses “Kozi Stok” – eco-agrotourism

Agrotourism treehouses “Kozi Stok” are located in southern Poland, 40 km from Kraków. The owners promise a slow life among greenery, forests, and home cuisine based on local, seasonal products. Attractions include mushroom picking, hiking and cycling, healthy cooking together, and kayaking. Animals live in Kozi Stok: a large herd of goats, chickens, rabbits, dogs, and cats.

Treehouses “Warlity” – by the lake

Tree houses are part of a hotel complex by the lake (“Pałac Wality”) in the Polish region of Warmia/Masuria. The complex is close to the city of Olsztyn (our tips on visiting Olsztyn), 150 km from Gdańsk and 190 km from Warsaw. The offer includes two two-level apartments in treetop houses, 4 meters above the ground. Accommodation is also available in a restored 19th-century palace and apartments by the beach.

Treehouses “W drzewach” in eastern Poland

“W drzewach” treehouses are located in eastern Poland, a 1 h 45 m drive from Warsaw. Their five treehouses are situated in a scenic woodland site, several minutes walk from the town of Nałęczów – a historic spa town located 24 km from Kazimierz Dolny, a popular weekend tourist destination in Poland (our tips on visiting Kazimierz Dolny).

Treehouse “Nad Narvią” – on the river near Warsaw

A treehouse is located on the Narew River (the area of Zalew Zegrzyński, 40 km out of Warsaw). In addition to accommodation in a tree house, this intimate place also offers a house on the water, a glamping dome, and kayak and SUP rentals.

Treehouse “Skansen Bicz” in central Poland

The year-round tree house is part of the “Skansen Bicz” hotel complex (website in Polish). The hotel is located in an ethnographic park, which houses over 10,000 unique exhibits showing the history of life in the countryside, including 200-year-old windmills, a winery house, wooden cottages with thatched roofs with original interiors from years ago, an agricultural museum, etc.
