What is available in English?

  • Most of the website content, including information on the concerts for children: http://filharmonia.pl/edukacja_en/koncerty-dla-dzieci_en/
  • The younger staff speaks English, the older ones may not (eg. in the ticket office)
  • The introduction to the concerts is in Polish

How to get there?

  • The philharmonic house is located in the city center about 600 m from the Palace of Culture
  • The Concert Hall entrance is from Sienkiewicza Street
  • The Chamber Music Hall entrance is from Moniuszki Street
  • By car: From Marszałkowska Street turn to Sienkiewicza Street. From Świętokrzyska Street turn to Jasna Street. On weekdays, the area is within paid parking zone. It may be difficult to find a free space close to the philharmonic house. If you are not lucky, you can use paid parking lot – entry from Sienkiewicza Street or the parking lot next to the Palace of Culture
  • By public transport:
    • By bus: 520 (bus stop: Metro Świętokrzyska), requires 2-minute walk – about 220 m, Google navigation may be useful
    • By tram: 1, 4, 15, 18, 25, 35 (tram stop: Metro Świętokrzyska), requires 3-minute walk – about 260 m, Google navigation may be useful
    • By metro (M1 or M2): Świętokrzyska stop, requires 3-minute walk – about 300 m, Google navigation may be useful

Concerts for children:

  • 11 am concerts are dedicated for 3-6-year-old kids (75 minutes including the interval)
  • 2 pm concerts are dedicated for 7-12-year-old kids (90 minutes including the interval)
  • The concerts take place either in the Concert Hall (Sienkiewicza Street, main entrance) or in the Chamber Music Hall (Moniuszki Street, the back of the building)
  • The events include not only live music but also dancing performances, singing, ballet, etc.
  • During the interval, children are invited on the stage to play with the artists

Tickets:

  • It is recommended to buy tickets in advance, especially for the small Chamber Music Hall
  • It is possible to buy tickets online: https://filharmonianarodowa.bilety24.pl/nfrontbuy/saleend/spid/388 or just click “Buy Ticket” on the Warsaw Philharmonic website: http://filharmonia.pl/edukacja_en/koncerty-dla-dzieci_en/. The web page interface is in English
  • There are no reduced tickets for the concerts for children. The ticket price is between 20-28 PLN
  • On the day of the concerts, the ticket offices are open from 4 pm (in Concert Hall or Chamber Music Hall). You can pay with credit cards

Other relevant information:

  • Eating and drinking in the halls during the concerts is not allowed. During the interval, it is possible to buy drinks and snacks in the foyer
