About Blossom Preschool of the Arts

Blossom is an English-speaking preschool of the arts located in Mokotów, accepting children aged 2,5 – 7. It also offers daycare for kids aged 1,5 to 2,5. The program of Blossom Preschool is based on 5 main pillars: Art, English, Physical Activity, Contact with Nature, and Organic Food (it has an organic kitchen).

Curriculum:

  • The Preschool combines an innovative approach to working with children – Reggio Emilia philosophy – with elements of a more formal education. They introduce Jolly Phonics at the age of 4  – a very effective phonemic program implemented to teach children to read and write in English. They also introduce elements from the Reception level and in the last grade Key stage 1, year 1. The Preschool also follows the Polish “0” grade curriculum within the framework of its own teaching program.
  • Blossom Preschool is inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy. They build the Preschool’s approach upon principles and values from within the frameworks of NVC (non-violent communication), Attachment Parenting, and Child-led project-based learning.

“We follow children’s needs and inspirations, striving to provide a selection of activities which will support their individual growth.”

The age range of students:

  • Daycare: children aged 1,5 – 2,5.
  • Preschool: children aged 2,5 – 7.

Language of instruction:

  • English is used for everyday communication. Each group has a min. of 2 teachers – an English-speaking teacher (native speaker) and a Polish teacher fluent in English.

Admission process:

  • The Preschool operates under an open admission policy and welcomes new students at any time through the year (subject to availability).
  • Contact Blossom in Polish or English to ask questions and to schedule an appointment: +48 723 77 00 30, blossom@blossom.edu.pl.

  • Preschool: admission fee: 1950 PLN; tuition: 3690 PLN per month incl. 5 organic meals.
  • Daycare: admission fee: 1950 PLN; tuition: 4100 PLN per month incl. 5 organic meals.

Organic food:

  • Blossom Preschool has its own organic kitchen.

  • Children are served superfoods, but also home-made pie. Meals are prepared without sugar. Children get a day’s worth of fully balanced meals: breakfast, soup, lunch, an afternoon meal, and a small snack.
  • If anyone is peckish, fruit and other healthy snacks are always on hand.
  • Drinking water and herbal or fruit tea are provided in every room.

“Blossom preschool is a place where we promote an innovative, progressive approach to preschool education. What we want is for children to learn about the world together with their guides/teachers in a warm and safe environment, where we listen to their needs and treat them with respect. Our job is to stimulate their innate curiosity and creativity. We don’t push children into milestones, e.g. we don’t aspire to have all our 5-year-olds reading fluently. Rather we do our best to make sure that by the time they leave our preschool they are ready – socially, emotionally and cognitively – to begin their school education happily and without stress.”
