Friday, July 19

Children’s movie in English, no Polish subtitles – ‘The Lion King’
Location: Cinema City, Sadyba Best Mall, Powsińska 31 Street (Sadyba/Mokotów), 5 pm. The screening in English is organized by the American School of Warsaw’s Parent Teacher Organization (ASW PTO) but tickets are available for sale to non-ASW children. Summer education and entertainment outdoor zone for children in Wola
Location: Al. Solidarności 102 Street (Wola), 11 am – 7 pm, free entrance. Attractions include the playground, euro-bungee, water balls, creative building with Lego, 4 thematic tents – artistic, culinary, sports, and dedicated to disappearing professions. More in Polish. Animatsuri – Warsaw Festival of Japanese Culture
Location: Centrum Konferencyjno-Szkoleniowe (Conference Center), Bobrowiecka 9 Street (Mokotów). The Festival focuses on Japanese pop culture. Website in Polish, Facebook event in Polish, tickets. The event runs on July 19-21.

‘Slow Market’ – multicultural street food 
Location: the Vistula Boulevard, the area next to Most (bridge) Świętokrzyski, free entrance, 6 pm – 2 am. Facebook event in Polish.

Live accordion trio concert enhanced with visualizations on the planetarium dome
Location: Planetarium in Copernicus Science Center, Wybrzeże Kościuszkowskie 20 Street (Powiśle), 7 pm (45 min), dedicated to audience aged 12+, online tickets. Click here to read our tips on visiting the Planetarium with children. More in Polish about the concert.

Free open-air concert – a picnic with music
Location: Stawy Brustmana (Bielany / Wawrzyszew, click here to check the location on a map), free entrance, 5.30 pm. In the case of rain, the concert will take place in Bielany Cultural Center, Goldoniego 1 Street. This Friday: Romani music. Facebook event in Polish.

Butterfly House (Motylarnia) – Polish and exotic butterfly species flying around 
Location: Galeria Północna shopping center, level 1, Światowida 17 Street (Białołęka), 10 am – 10 pm, regular ticket 5 PLN, reduced ticket 2 PLN, children up to 100 cm tall – free entrance. Facebook event in Polish.

Warsaw by night – viewing platform of the Palace of Culture
Location: Viewing platform on the 30th floor of the Palace of Culture and Science. The platform is open every day 10 am – 8 pm. Multimedia Fountain Park Show
Location: Skwer Dywizji 1 (city center). Fountains operate every day from 8.30 am until 10.30 pm. Multimedia show each Friday and Saturday in July at 9.30 pm (fountains, laser, music, and lights). ‘Walks around the Warsaw Zoo’ – guided tour in English
Location: Warsaw Zoo, Ratuszowa 1/3 Street (Praga), 12 pm. The tours are free (organized by the Warsaw Zoo volunteers) but you need to buy entrance tickets to the Zoo. Meeting point: the flamingo ring, on the right, in front of the entrance from Ratuszowa Street. Facebook event in English.

International Kids Sports Day
Location: Plaża Rusałka (Praga city beach, close to the Zoo), Wybrzeże Helskie 1/5 Street (Praga), 9.30 am – 2.30 pm, free entrance (click here to register). Attractions include kids running races, team relay races, a chance for all kids to try different international team sports. The event for children at Galeria Młociny shopping center
Location: Galeria Młociny, level 2, Zgrupowania AK Kampinos 15 Street (Bielany), 11 am – 3 pm, free entrance. Attractions include games and activities for kids, book swapping, arts & craft workshops, drawing workshop, math workshop. Facebook event in Polish.

Nightskating event for children (rollerblades, roller skates or nordic blades)
Location: Meeting point (at 6 pm) and finishing-line: Plac Zamkowy / the Castle Square, start time: 7 pm, distance: 12 km, admission is free, no registration required. Facebook event in Polish.

Latino Roller Disco (roller skating and rollerblading)
Location: Wrotkarnia, Połczyńska 115 Street (Bemowo), 6 pm – 10 pm. Entrance fee + equipment rental (available sizes: 26-50) 24 PLN adults, 22 PLN children. Entrance fee 15 PLN adults, 14 PLN children. Facebook event in Polish. Children under 5 are not allowed in Wrotkarnia.

The Music Gardens Festival (Festiwal Ogrody Muzyczne) – a rebroadcast of L’Italiana in Algeri / The Italian Girl in Algiers opera

Free traditional Indian yoga class in ENGLISH – “Yoga with Kirti“
Location: Łazienki Royal Garden, 10 am – 11 am. The yoga class takes place outdoors in the Park (check out the exact location on the map). In case of very bad weather, the class is canceled (you will find info in the FB event). Facebook event in Polish.

Outdoor Breakfast Market in Żoliborz / Targ Śniadaniowy
Location: corner of aleja Wojska Polskiego Street and Śmiała Street (Żoliborz), 9 am – 4 pm. Breakfast Market is a weekend picnic where you can buy local, international, and organic food, and rent a picnic blanket. Facebook event in Polish.

Guided tour IN ENGLISH at The Museum of Modern Art
Location: “Museum on the Vistula” Pavilion, Wybrzeże Kościuszkowskie 22 Street (on the Vistula bank), 2 pm, tickets 5 PLN. The guided tour in English includes the “Paint, also known as Blood. 25th International Open Air Festival “Jazz at the Old Town” (Jazz na Starówce)

A new exhibition at Wilanów Palace Museum – Reconstructions of children’s clothing from the 17th to the 19th century
Location: Wilanów Palace, Stanisława Kostki Potockiego 10/16 Street. Tickets to the Museum: 15 PLN reduced, 20 PLN regular. The exhibition is the result of the competition “Children’s clothing from the 17th to the 19th century”, in which young students and graduates of tailoring schools and tailoring enthusiasts were preparing the reconstruction of historical costumes for children. A new art exhibition for children at the Centre for Contemporary Art – “Touch the Art”
Location: Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art (Zamek Ujazdowski, Centrum Sztuki Współczesnej), Jazdów 2 Street (the castle close to Agrykola Park and Łazienki Park), free entrance, Saturday 10 am – 7 pm, Sunday 11 am – 6 pm. Location: the Palace of Culture and Science, pl.
