The Birthplace of Frederic Chopin and Park in Żelazowa Wola during the coronavirus lockdown – reopening

  • The Park and Museum are reopened from February 16, 2021
  • Opening hours: 10 am – 6 pm
  • The number of visitors will be limited to 600 people at the same time in the park and 10 in the Chopin annex
  • The Museum is closed on Mondays
  • It’s recommended to buy tickets online (online tickets)
  • Free entrance on Wednesday

What is available in English?

  • Most of the website content
  • 7 short videos showing the museum and park highlights
  • The museum staff in the ticket office speaks good English, the museum guards may not speak English
  • The audio guides (in 7 languages) can be borrowed in the main hall next to the ticket office

Summer piano recitals

  • Summer weekend piano concerts: May – September
  • Saturday recitals, 12 pm and 3 pm
  • Sunday recitals, 12 pm and 3 pm

How to get there?

  • The museum is located about 60 km from Warsaw, 100 km from Łódź, next to Sochaczew
  • By car: It takes about 1 hour from Warsaw, depending on the traffic. Google navigation may be useful. The parking lot is across the street, cash only accepted (in the museum you can pay with cards)

The Museum is closed:

  • Every Monday (however, you can enter the park)

Tickets:

  • Click here to buy tickets online
  • Regular ticket: 23 PLN (park and museum)
  • Reduced ticket: 14 PLN (e.g. students, people over 65)
  • Family ticket (parents with children under 18 years old, max 6 people): 64 PLN
  • Free admission: children up to the age of 7
  • Free admission on Wednesdays

Where to have lunch or coffee?

  • The museum pavilion hosts a casual restaurant

Other relevant information:

  • There is the museum store where you can buy some souvenirs
