About Baby City

Baby City is a bilingual (English and Polish) nursery and preschool accepting children aged 1,5 – 7. Baby City is located in Sadyba/Mokotów, in three buildings of the total of 1.500 m². The preschool educational approach focuses on bilingualism, new methods of creative education, healthy habits (eating well and sports), individualized educational programs for talented children and those with special educational needs, Nonviolent Communication (NVC) and democratic education.

Curriculum and educational offer

  • Taking requirements of the 21st century into consideration, Baby City believes that our children’s knowledge ceases to be the main point of interest. Thus, the preschool focuses on the skills of knowledge acquisition, analysis and synthesis, and nonconventional problem-solving. Baby City teaching methodology is based, among others, on creative problem-solving. A holistic approach to the learning process enables the teachers to combine thematic areas and introduce science as a coherent whole with the use of modern methods and techniques
  • The preschool builds the habits of healthy eating and everyday physical activity. Sports classes are conducted on a daily basis, including swimming, acrobatics, football, gymnastics, capoeira, karate. Moreover, Baby City has a large gym adjusted to children’s needs
  • Baby City team follows Nonviolent Communication (NVC) and democratic education approach. The needs of children and parents should be respected equally. Following this way of thinking, Baby City has established effective communication and cooperation free of penalties and prizes. Reinforcement of desirable behaviors takes place in the form of praising or hugging. Despite the wide range of activities, children have the right to choose what they will benefit from and when. The preschool gives them opportunities but the teachers do not overload students with too many stimulants. Each child gets an appropriate amount of time and space for reflection and being on a one-to-one basis
  • Baby City supports children’s independence during meals – they themselves decide how much and what they eat. The preschool follows the idea of Baby Led Weaning and has successfully implemented this approach in the youngest groups. As it comes to older children, they compose their own meals, breakfasts are served in the form of buffet including healthy and natural products and according to children’s likes and dislikes
  • The preschool offers a wide range of activities that develop individual interests: “Matplanet” mathematical workshops, Funiversity, robotics and programming courses, pottery classes and fine arts for little artists, drama workshops, music classes, hip-hop and capoeira. For athletes – yoga, swimming lessons, soccer, acrobatics and karate. For talented or demanding children there are individual annual programs

“We provide children with the best knowledge, skills, and foundation that guarantees a good start for the future in the XXI century. Through the years we achieved the opinion of a place full of life that cares for kids’ needs and consequently raise them in the atmosphere of respect and warmth. If we were to be measured by the happiness and smile of a child – we are the best.“
